BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
We love to recognize and celebrate your child's birthdays. However, we ask that you not send in any food for birthdays. We have an increasing amount of food allergies to nuts, gluten, eggs, milk in every classroom as well as other health concerns and a school-wide commitment for a healthier environment.
Instead of food, you might want to send a trinket or pencils. Another idea is to donate a wrapped book or board game to the classroom and your child can unwrap it in front of the class. These are ways we can recognize your child’s birthday in our classroom. Of course you do not have to send in anything, we will always celebrate your child’s birthday with a crown and a song. All birthdays will continue to be announced and recognized on VTV every week and your child will receive a birthday ribbon from the office.
